Envelope Addressing

Let the first impression of your wedding excite your loved ones for the celebration to come!

Imagine that gasp of happiness as your guests open their mailboxes!

Taking the time to hand-calligraph an envelope is an easy way to really make someone feel special. Each address, line, letter and flourish I draw is thoughtfully crafted to form a unique design that fits together perfectly.

Let’s work together to find the perfect color, style and mood to match your invitations!

Envelope addressing services start at $7.00 each.

Timeline

Wedding Invitations should be sent out 4-8 weeks before your wedding date, and longer for international guests. Allow one to two weeks for envelopes to be calligraphed and allow another week for shipping them back to you. I suggest contacting me as soon as you can to reserve a spot on my calendar. Rush jobs of less than two weeks may incur a fee.

Vintage Postage Stamps

Vintage stamps add a beautiful touch to your envelopes! Please let me know if you plan on using multiple vintage stamps so we can plan out the design and allow for the extra postage.

Preparing your guest list

Please provide your guest list typed exactly how you would like names and addresses written. Write out State names, Street, Drive, Boulevard, etc. and double check that all addresses are correct. I can help you with proper address etiquette, although you can be as formal or casual as you wish, it’s your wedding!

Send 15%-20% additional envelopes

There may be guests you need to add last minute, a change of address, a mistake, etc. and I often need to test ink compatibility with your paper. Be sure to order extra envelopes so invitations won’t get delayed. Typically clients provide the envelopes that come with their invitations, but if you are creating your own stationary there are many envelope sources available.

Stuff-Stamp-Send Service

If you would like me to stuff, stamp, seal and send your invitations out for you, I am happy to do that. The stamps will be hand cancelled at the post office so they don’t go through the sorting machine and risk getting damaged. If you are going to be sending invitations yourself, at the post office you can request “hand-cancelling” stamps to ensure the envelopes don’t go through the machine, and look their best when they arrive.
